Joumana Madani
Licensed counselor, founder of Lumina
Joumana sees autistic women of every age, by video, from her practice in Bend.
Joumana started Lumina for women who learned late in life that they are autistic, and who were tired of explaining themselves on the phone.
She keeps sessions plain and predictable: the agenda comes first, questions are specific and silence is allowed. She works with you on what a diagnosis changes, and on what it does not.
Joumana sees adults only, by video, one at a time. She does not diagnose or test for autism. If you want an evaluation, she gives you the names of clinicians who do them.
